You won with "Justice," of which the judge said: "This is an extraordinary painting. There is a passion and an intensity in 'Justice' that act like a strong magnet on the senses, drawing the viewer into the piece. Once it grabs hold of you, it never lets go." Your winning piece will be in our Jan/Feb 2017 issue, on newsstands November 29th.
This painting grew out of a need to say something about the injustices that happen every day, in my country, but also everywhere, as the world seems to collapse in front of us. This painting is a cry for justice.

This painting will be on display from Saturday July 30th at the Salon de la Plástica Mexicana, as part of the 9th edition of the Mexican Society of Watercolor Painters Award. "Justice" is part of the SMA collection having won the 1st place in the 8th Edition, 2015. The opening is at 12:00 hrs, Colima 196 Roma Norte, you are cordially invited.

Esta pintura surge de la necesidad de decir algo sobre todas las injusticias que suceden todos los días en mi país, pero también en todas partes, pareciera que el mundo se derrumba ante nosotros. Este es un grito por justicia.

Esta pintura estará expuesta a partir de este sábado en el Salón de la Plástica Mexicana, como parte de la 9ª Edición del Premio Sociedad Mexicana de Acuarelistas. "Justicia" es parte de la Colección SMA al haber ganado el 1er lugar en la 8ª Edición del Premio, 2015.
