Traveled very recently to Guiyang, China for the opening of the exhibit Colorful Guizhou, The Collection of International Watercolor Masters Invitational Exhibition. It was truly a wonderful experience, the exhibit showcased artworks of Joseph Zbukvic, Stanislaw Zoladz, Alvaro Castagnet, Ong Kim Seng, Joe Dowden, Elena Bazanova, John Salminen, Liu Yi, Ye Xianmin, Jiang Zhinan, Ilya Ibryaev, Liu Zhiping, Igor Sava, Huang Huazhao, Li Xiaolin, Jiang Zhinan. The exhibition was incredible, the level of the paintings is shocking. While we do not share the Chinese language or culture, their smiles and warmth made us feel welcome and at home. I perceive China as a giant full of strength and security in achieving its goals and dreams. The landscapes are incredible and the places full of history and magic. Here are some moments of the event, organizers took us to magnificent old villages to do plein air painting. Very happy, honored and thankful for this wonderful invitation. Un sueño haber compartido paredes con pintores que por mucho tiempo he seguido su trabajo y admirado; no hace más que motivarme e inspirarme. Algunos de los expositores: Joseph Zbukvic, Stanislaw Zoladz, Alvaro Castagnet, Ong Kim Seng, Joe Dowden, Elena Bazanova, John Salminen, Liu Yi, Ye Xianmin, Jiang Zhinan, Ilya Ibryaev, Liu Zhiping, Igor Sava, Huang Huazhao (Rick Huang), Li Xiaolin, Jiang Zhinan. Todo fue una súper producción, la exposición estuvo increíble, el nivel de las pinturas es impactante. Si bien no compartimos el idioma o cultura china, sus sonrisas y calidez nos hicieron sentir bienvenidos y como en casa. Ha sido una experiencia maravillosa que poco a poco irá decantando en el alma. China se nos muestra como un gigante lleno de fortaleza y seguridad en alcanzar lo que desea. Los paisajes son increíbles y los lugares llenos de historia y magia. Agradecida por los hermosos recuerdos que creamos mi pareja y yo. Un verdadero honor estar con los Masters Chinos.
